It's funny how what you are raised with can still effect you in your adulthood. It's funny how even when all the proof points in one direction, people still prefer to believe in the lie. If presented with a different opinion or facts, they will automatically look down on it and drag others with them in their blissful ignorance. Preferring to go my some appointed guru, so-called specialist, PhD, or religious leader.
The fact is this, no one knows everything about anything, and for your own sake it's best to make decisions based on objective facts. It is easy to be lulled by the persistent peer pressure of what surrounds you, but is it really the right thing to do? Is it really safe for you/your family? Just mechanically following the flow of any given situation does not make it correct.
Just because you grew up with a certain mentality does not make it right.. the key is be able to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective, we are conditioned on how we see things so ask yourself questions and challenge yourself. After all, the truth will set you free!
